He has been behind a camera for 17 years working through his college years at Eastern Mennonite University as a videographer, filming documentaries in 5 countries. He then started J. Ellis Photography in 2010 and has photographed over 300 weddings and thousands of portraits all over the US and Canada. He now partners with his wife, Annie, who is also a wedding photographer.
In his spare time he spends time traveling and exploring with Annie and their 2 daughters.

Lisa, a proud JMU alum, is a storyteller at heart. She uses photos, video, music, and words to bring each story to life. Owner of Lisa Houff Photography in Bridgewater, Virginia, she focuses on photographing Girls and Women to bolster their confidence with beautiful prints and wall art. She also photographs families, and does professional headshots.
Lisa and husband Terry raised two daughters – Jessie, an artist living in Baltimore, and Katie, a Stage Manager based in Brooklyn. When Lisa isn’t holding a camera, she’s devouring books about leadership, photography, and an occasional murder mystery. She’s a huge movie buff, and is also brushing up on French and Spanish. Lisa is thrilled and honored to be on The TDC Main Street team!
